Ellen has been proudly helping family law clients through a philosophy of amicable settlement, collaboration and mediation, as well as zealous trial advocacy when needed.
Ellen works one-on-one with each client to develop an individual strategy for each case. As a trained mediator and certified collaborative attorney, Ellen particularly appreciates the benefits of staying out of court. She works with her clients to help them focus on healthy family functioning post-divorce and to help relieve the children of the emotional conflict faced by separating families.
Ellen handles all areas of family law including divorce, custody, relocation, spousal support, alimony, child support, property settlement agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, name change, domestic abuse, paternity, post-divorce issues and grandparent and third party custody. Ellen also handles high net worth divorce matters.
In addition to working with traditional families, Ellen has spent her career supporting the LGBT community as a legal ally, handling issues with a particular sensitivity and creativity. Ellen routinely works with transgender clients handling custody matters and name changes.
Throughout her career, Ellen has served in a leadership capacity in key legal and community organizations. She has also taught and moderated a variety of courses for the Montgomery County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
